Returning to this from the future, we now know what the significance is of the reaction caused when something touches the time vortex, what that something is, and how it was present while the TARDIS is making these journeys. More importantly, it also signifies how far ahead RTD plans his story arcs, so anyone feeling frustrated about loose ends might just want to be a little more patient and wait to see what unfolds. Spoilers.

All those planets mentioned have significant contributions to death in their stories including Earth's past-future stories, was Earth Shock included, interesting with this one it was the dinosaurs being wiped out it was part of a myth that the Egyptian Gods first came to Earth around then and it possible Sutekh was part of this myth and this includes the City Of Death ending to as early origins of human history and those dinosaurs before humans. But in this story, the villain is influenced by an ancient alien god-like entry under the radar of the time lords. Questions of early influences from Sutekh?

Did anyone else notice the registration year of Mel’s scooter? It was a 75 plate meaning it couldn’t have been registered before September 2025, either the props department made a mistake or there’s a reason why the cars/bikes are registered a year and a half further on than the episode was supposed to be set. (there were at least 2 other vehicles with 75 plates over the 2 episodes.)

It's also important to note that when meeting with things that people call ghosts, witches, werewolves, mummies, and vampires, the Doctor always seemed to look for another explanation as to what hey were. Pretty much every time he found that it was something alien and/or technological that he later recognized. That's not to say actual zombies don't exist in the Whoverse, but at least with that statement it seems like it could have been made in jest.

Some people will like this episode and thats fine but the majority don't I feel. RTDs comeback has not been an overly good one I think, which is a shame given that he's had over a decade to come up with something solid. Lets see if he finds his footing in season 2. Im keen to see Moffat be show-runner again however, as I think he was underrated during his tenure and especially given how good Boom was.

Here's a thought 🤔 Is the person who actually left Ruby at the church Ruby's Mum Louise? I mean I believe Louise is Ruby's Mum but is she and the hooded figure who left Ruby at the church the same person? Maybe Louise passed Ruby to someone who can leave her at the church. And that person did something to Ruby which is why it snows around her and the song in her soul. I reckon there's more to this than meets the eye. There's a hidden element that must get answered in next year's season.

I don't believe that I am even saying this: I think in this season there was a huge lack of "irrelevant" filler episodes.

I can't help but wonder if they're doing some Shenanigans with the name Mrs flood. The bit on the roof was clearly a Mary Poppins wink. I'm surprised she didn't start floating. I get the distinct impression Mrs flood is Missy a lot of people haven't drawn that comparison yet and the stickers on the suitcase the line she made right before she turned to dust and the references of haven't you ever seen a tardis before suggest that she's Gallifreyan and the only person that comes to mind with everything there winking at is the master/Missy and that character keeps turning up like a bad penny. I lost track of how many times the master has died and managed to claw their way back whether it be some sort of a clone or something else
